continues to be developed as a racing home for news and photos from the
stock car racing asphalt community... we hope to have the streets of
Circlestown.com paved for '2010-11, until then we periodically share a
few highlights from various events across the country...
Hall
of Fame: Fairgrounds at Nashville...

Charles
Stofel's Coupe is taken for some quick laps Saturday night in it's
return to Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville during the track's Hall
of Fame night of racing activities.

Inducting
a second set of Nashville's standouts to the Tennessee Racing Hall
of Fame, Ronnie Robbins, far left, accepted the induction of his
father music and racing great Marty Robbins. Sterling Marlin,
center, and Chad Chaffin both multi-time track champions were also
inducted.

Joe
Buford, far right, joined his father, the previously inducted
Flookie Buford (in suspenders) in the Hall of Fame, as well as
long time PA announcer Joe Williams, between Buford and Chafin).
Bobby Hamilton Sr. will also be a part of the 2009 class of
inductees, but will be honored later in the season at Fairgrounds
Speedway at Nashville during the schedule Bobby Hamilton Memorial
race.

Before
the racing started, the famous Gray Line Star Tours bus took a lap
around the 5/8th's high banked oval with former drivers and dignitaries
on board such as Eddie Mitchell, Bill Morton, Chester Albright,
Malcolm Brady and others before be seated in a special section for
the racing action on scheduled for the night before the
intermission Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.

Mark
Day took the Late Model victory on Hall of Fame night.

Jeffrey
Belt celebrates his Sportsman win on the 5/8th's track.

Frontrunner
action gets crossed up on the exit of the infield quarter-mile.

There
may have been only four cars, but the Open Wheel Modified action
was intense as Tommy Climer #05 gets in to eventual winner John
Earheart #67 during their quarter-mile action filled feature.

Earheart
gives a shot out to his fellow competitors for an intense race.


Truck
division points leader Bobby Buttrey celebrates with Big Machine
Records label -owner and truck sponsor Scott Borchetta and
his crew after his win at the start/finish line in the SuperTrucks
division.
