Street talk... Pit chatter... It's the writing on the walls... Political, Unpolitical, It's gutter smack from CIRCLESVILLE ...

Thursday April 19:  Build it... They will come.

Counter point: Golden Mountain Raceway, Sparta/Cookeville, TN

Sunday  April 15: When the IRS Deadline 50 gets rained out and cancelled until the end of April is our taxes delayed until then also? It does in Circlesville. Where Racing LIVES!

Wednesday  April 11: You can tell the economy is getting tough. Suddenly there's a rash of  reportings of people wanting to open the gates of defunct race tracks, build new tracks, etc. all with other people's money. This sports got a long history and track record of those come and go types. And racers at a winter race in the north are still wondering when they'll get paid. Did they not pay attention or was they so broke they couldn't pay attention... good intentions are great, but they don't pay the back gate on a rainy monday, and you can tell the ones that saved it for a rainy day.

Tuesday  April 3: The recent front gate and pit prices at brownstown's got many track promoters attention. Result? Here's one... Duck River Speedway in TN raised their weekly pit cost to $25 a head.

When a track charges what Brownstown did and gets 70+ cars and a full grandstand, it green lighted other tracks to raise the ante to play and watch.

Wednesday  March 28: Just like forced religion, some race track pr almost seems like the same. It actually gets to the point of turning people off. It's a tough balance and the successful do it right. But some just keep force feeding you how great their product is to the point you eat to much candy and puke it all back up after over exposure.

Monday March 19:  Build it... They Will Come.

Counterpoint: Route 66 Raceway,  Joliet, IL

Saturday  March 17: Ever notice on racing message boards they list how many post the poster has made. I wonder if on Brain Surgery Message Boards they put the mental age of the person posting instead of how many post they make?

Wednesday Feb 28:  An overlooked blow to the current state of dirt late model racing may be as simple as the local walmart. Unsure if all, but apparently a lot of walmart stores have pulled stock car racing, circle track and even speedway illustrated from their store shelves. a check of several stores over the past few months have not found any racing publications other than nascar preseason trade publications. All three publicatioins: scr, circle track and speedway illustrated frequently expose dirt cars via their cover photography to millions of glancing eyes thru the shelve position in walmarts. The removal of these magazines from walmart shelves serves a serious blow to dirt racing's general exposure, maybe more than any possible outlet.. tv included?

Thursday  Feb 22: I wonder if race car drivers are as honest on their tax forums as they claim to be on their race cars after not meeting the rules.

You'll notice we didn't use the word "cheater" because apparently race car drivers are offended by that term as much as homosexuals are offended by the word ------ and african americans are by the word -----.

Someone born 30 minutes from me apparently needs their income taxes audited. "wink"

Saturday Feb 17:  Build it... They will come.
